About me

I’m Lauren — an MSc AI student at HKUST and a software engineer. I build full-stack systems end to end, with a focus on AI products that hold up in real workflows.

Outside of work, I’m interested in how technology re-shapes social life, which is why my featured project is about post-pandemic loneliness rather than AI productivity.

Magpie Bridge — A campus prototype for re-learning how to meet, designed for the post-pandemic Isolation Generation. (ARIN5301 HCI · group of 4)

The Good, the Bad, the Mortal — A critical HCI analysis of Moxie, the AI companion robot that went silent when its company shut down. (Video paper essay · ~720 words)
